Bridal Shower Thank You Cards – Ideas and Tips

by admin

As hectic as planning your wedding might be, it is of utmost importance that after the shower has been given in your honor, you set aside some time to send bridal shower thank you cards. Preparing for the wedding can be overwhelming to say the least, so when close friends of the bride get together and throw a bridal shower for the sheer purpose of pampering you in preparation for what lies ahead, and as tired and tense as you might be, you must acknowledge your friends and loved ones with appreciation for all their efforts, and the lovely gifts they gave.

Ideally, bridal shower thank you cards should be sent no more than two weeks after the shower, but even if you forget, it is never too late to say thank you. Each and every attendant is to be thanked whether they brought a gift or not. Do not combine the thank you cards with any other type of card. For example, if two guests came to the bridal shower, and only one had given a gift, send each one a thank you card specifically for coming to the bridal shower, but then include an acknowledgment of the gift given by the one who presented it to you.

Remember to thank the host/hostess, and if possible attach a gift to go along with the note of thanks, for all the love and hard work that had been put into the event. The gift could be an ornament, a box of chocolates or anything that would be of value to him/her, and which is not too costly. In the card mention the gift received and the success of the bridal shower with a personal compliment to the person.

Because it is a time of much activity, it would be wise to keep the cards in your possession as you go about your busy tasks, so that the thank you messages can be worked on as time permits. Set a goal, so as not to wear yourself out. For instance, write at least four cards at a time, this way you’ll avoid mistakes due to exhaustion, i.e., with the guests’ names, your handwriting, etc.

You can include a verse or a personal thought, just make sure you have included in your bridal shower thank you cards your very own heartfelt words. After all, every one of us adores sincere gratitude!
